Thornbury High School has partnered up with Google to bring Google Apps for Education to the school.
Google Apps for Education enables our students to Communicate, Collaborate and Store anything they need in an online environment.

Every student has their own personal email address to allow effective communication between other students and their parents.
Your email address will be your student code followed by our domain name.

Google Calendar is available to help keep students organised and on top of any work they have due. Google Calendar also integrates directly with their email accounts, Compass School Manager and Google Classroom so students can have their timetable and any assignments that are due on their calendar.

Keep all your work in one secure place with online file storage. Access your work whenever you need it, from your laptop, tablet or phone.
Every student gets unlimited online storage!

Online Classroom

Classroom is designed to help teachers create and collect assignments paperlessly, including time-saving features like the ability to automatically make a copy of a Google Document for each student. It also creates Drive folders for each assignment and for each student to help keep everyone organized.

Students can keep track of what’s due on the Assignments page and begin working with just a click. Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn't completed the work, and provide direct, real-time feedback and grades right in Classroom.

Google Slides (very similar to Microsoft Powerpoint) enables students to create beautiful, powerful and inspiring presentations. It is even backward compatible with Microsoft Powerpoint.

Google Sheets (very similar to Microsoft Excel) is a tool to create powerful and useful spreadsheets. Work collaboratively at the same time with other students on the same document and see changes live.

Google Docs (very similar to Microsoft Word) is a great way to create stunning looking documents. It also allows you to work collaboratively at the same time with other students on the same document and see changes live.
